My name is Janice, and I have two girls, 8 and 5. I dove into doula training after my first born 8 years ago after having a not so amazingpostpartum experience with her.
After becoming pregnant with our second child, I knew I wanted to try placenta encapsulation. Even if it was “just” a placebo effect. With a growing family, doula hours and being on call unfortunately did not work. I jumped into into research for the best training resources available and began training with IPPA head first so I could encapsulate my own placenta!
Now that my kids are both in school, time is getting back to our family and allowing me to get back into doing the things I love. My packages all include an hour (or more) postpartum visit. Having the experience of being a doula is an added bonus for clients.
I personally have experience in extended breastfeeding, pumping, tube feeding and formula feeding. Supporting the client to ensure they are prepared postpartum is my highest priority.
I have extensive knowledge of babywearing in many forms of carriers. I also used cloth diapers for both of my girls from birth into toddlerhood. Information on all things brands, types, washing and what you need to feel comfortable cloth diapering your child.
I have my placenta encapsulation training from IPPA. Blood Borne Pathogen training and Food Safety Training. Birth and Postparum Doula training from Babies Naturlly. Birth and Postpatrum Doula training as well as birth education training through Sweet Stella’s.
I am a coffee loving, anxiety driven, family oriented introvert at heart just trying to stay hydrated. Kinda sweary, down to earth, small town girl in the city.I strive in providing a non judgmental space, inclusive of every birthing person and their families.I am an open book, ask me anything!
